Blind Bartimaus: A Story of Relentless Faith – Mark 10:46-52
Main Idea: Following Christ comes from a desperation in the soul that only Jesus can heal. 1. There is a desperate need in every person that needs to be recognized. (v. 46) 2. Persistent faith doesn’t give up. (v. 47-48) 3. Obedience produces true faith. (v. 49-52)
Characteristics of a Follower of Christ – Mark 10: 32-45
Main Idea: Followers of Christ are called to model Christ by living a life marked by humility and service. Followers of Christ are to reject self-serving ambition. (v. 35-37) Followers of Christ are called to embrace the path of suffering. (v. 38-40) Followers of Christ are to serve others instead of ruling over them. (v. 41-44) Jesus modeled and purchased this life for us. (v. 45)
