Persevere Through Refinement – Embrace trials as God’s purifying work. Preserve Your Witness – Live faithfully as salt in a corrupt world.
Main Idea: The kingdom of God extends far beyond our circles and cannot be confined to our circles. The problem: A narrow view of God’s work. (v. 38) The reality: God works through many. (v. 39-40) The goal: A shared commitment to God’s mission. (v. 41)
Main Idea: Christ defined true greatness through humility and service. Christ modeled true greatness through humility. True greatness doesn’t come through our own ambition. True greatness comes through an attitude of service. True greatness is shown through our own insignificance.
