Main Idea: True growth in knowing and understanding Jesus happens progressively in someone’s life through the act of following Him. Spiritual blindness has impacted everyone. Initial understanding of Jesus begins incomplete and blurry. The full clarity of the majesty and glory of Jesus will occur in the end.

Main Idea: There are certain dangers that Jesus shows that keep people from truly following Him. A hardened heart that keeps people from believing. Teaching that is not biblically accurate. A life that says one thing but portrays something else. A life of self-reliance instead of on God. Forgetting the work of the Lord in your life.

Main Idea: Jesus does all things well and restores all things. The Problem (v. 31-32) The Solution (v. 33-34) The Cure (v. 35-37)

Main Idea: A clean heart before God is made pure by grace through faith in Christ, not by rituals and traditions. Religion that controls. (v. 1-8) Religion that corrupts. (v. 9-13) We are corrupted by what is already in our heart. (v. 14-23)

Main Idea: Jesus shows us who He truly is even in the midst of our own misunderstanding. Jesus’ care for His people. (v. 45-46) Jesus’ compassion for His people. (v. 47-50) Jesus’ concern for His people. (v. 51-52)

Jesus is our true rest and satisfaction.

Why do people reject Christ?

Main Idea: Salvation is only accomplished through faith in Jesus Christ taking away all of our uncleanness and giving what was dead new life.  

Main Idea: The Lord has shown extreme mercy to us while Satan seeks to destroy you. Satan’s desires for you. He uses sin to create pain and destruction in your life. He creates isolation in your life.  He seeks to destroy you. Jesus’ desire for you. Jesus seeks to restore your brokenness. Jesus restores you to community. Jesus can restore anyone. Jesus gives us all a purpose.
